Welcome to my
Design
Portfolio
Welcome, my name is Ethan Rayment! I am a creative who’s based in Hamilton, Ontario, and specializes in graphic design, photography and videography.
Here you’ll find a collection of my projects, both professional and personal, which I have had the pleasure to work on!
A Little About Me
My journey as an artist began in 2020, when I was struggling to find ways to occupy my time during the pandemic. Luckily, I was able to buy a camera and began using different editing platforms to experiment with the images I collected.
Later I completed a four-year undergraduate degree at McMaster, and found endless opportunities to push my creativity and use my artwork to fulfill needs. Whether that was providing content for the student cafe which I worked at, or creating posters for the band I joined around that time, I kept myself learning up till graduation.
Since then, I have taken on contract work for the McMaster Students Union as a graphic designer and photographer, and began to dive into freelance work as well. As things stand, I am always looking for opportunities to challenge myself and further grow my style!

My Designs
Social Media + Print Works

In this section, you’ll find sample of my own artworks I developed while working as a communications officer for the McMaster Students Union, or MSU.
Most of the designs I created in this role include promotional materials for some of the MSU’s key events and initiatives.

Personal + Volunteer Projects
App Concept: Oracle
Here you will see a pair of conceptual designs I prepared as part of a project for my undergraduate studies at McMaster. The goal was to design and pitch an app which would cater to a specific fanbase. In this case, the app would cater to communities built around the young adult franchise Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
For the design portion, I created a logo for the app, as well as the mobile layout for the site.
Poster Print: Impact Brass
40th Anniversary Concert
This piece marks one of the first designs I volunteered to create. While I was a member of a youth brass band called Impact Brass, I offered to try and create an advertisement for a concert marking the bands 40th anniversary.
Since the tone of the event was nostalgic and would feature former conductors, I designed the poster to evoke a wall of polaroid’s. In hindsight, I would trim down the text and reduce the clutter in the backdrop, but as a first design, it feels good to look back and see how far I’ve come!
Photography
Below you’ll find some example of my photography. My hope is that these will better showcase my understanding of color, framing and aesthetics.
